Indicated for the management of:- Infections caused by susceptible organisms in Lower Respiratory Tract Urinary Tract Infection, Pelvic inflammatory diseases, Skin & Skin structure infections, Bacterial septicemia, Meningitis, Surgical Prophylaxis and uncomplicated gonorrhea..
Administered intravenously or intramuscularly AduIts Daily dose 1-2g once a day(or divided doses twice daily) Total daily dose should not exceed 4g.. Usual duration of therapy is 7 -14 days Paediatric. Recommended total daily dose; 20 – 80 mg/kg IV Dosage for children above 12 yrs the same as adults. Reconstituted solutions retain their physical and chemical stability for 6hrs at room temp and 24hrs in the refrigerator.
